I’m not sure if this is the case, but aren’t these just display products? We had a clear dishwasher at Best Buy for awhile. Anyway, I wouldn’t put it past the Japanese to actually manufacture something like that.

Yes, as Phil said, these are most likely just for demonstration purposes and not actual functioning appliances. The washer has no motor, and the fridge has no, well, anything.
